This last Friday Ryan took the day off and we headed up American Fork Canyon. We wanted to hike up to the Timp Cave, but found out it was closed for the day, so we ended up at Cascade Springs (just further up the canyon). I haven't been up there for years. It was a really cool spot. The girls loved all the small wooden bridges that connected over the shallow ponds. We're loving this perfect fall weather.

We also said goodbye to Darryl this weekend. It was fun having you stay with us! Keep us updated on all baby news D & D!!!

I love you Cindy!!! We always have so much fun when we all get together! Some of my favorite memories as a little girl are waking up to you and my mom laughing in the front room. I knew we would be going on some great shopping adventure that day. (As long as it wasn't to pikets=torture)

Fall

Although I'm sad to see summer go... I'm getting so excited for FALL! I love to see the seasons change.. and right now the mountains look so beautiful here. Hopefully this year the fall colors will stay a little longer. For some reason when fall comes around I want to bake more and buy all the great stuff at the farmers markets. I also start feeling like sewing and crafty stuff. Maybe because there more time now that summers over. Anyway I love this season.

Happy Fall!

updates on the girls

I didn't get a chance to take pictures of Izzy on her first day of school.. but here is my little 2nd grader. Where has the time gone? She is such a great helper and an amazing reader. She is so excited about school this year and her new teacher. All she talks about is the class pet... a hamster that she hopes to bring home and take care of. In all my craftiness I made this dress for her. The shoulders straps have both broken.. so now you know my sewing skills are lacking but I'm still trying, right? Thank goodness for saftey pins =)

Sophie started school too.. Preschool 3 days a week. She asks for homework every night so she can sit up to the table with Izzy and have stuff to work on. She would be in dress ups ALL day if we would let her. Before I took this photo she was dancing around the whole neighborhood in this pink tutu. She cracks me up.

Savannah is my little side kick.. We hang out all day, read books, shop and play. She is such a funny, sweet girl that wants to be big like her sisters. She's going to be two soon... ahhh. I feel so blessed to have these girlie in my life.. They make me laugh all day long. Even though being a mom is a lot of hard work- never ending house chores -cooking-cleaning they definitely make it all worth it.

one more camping trip...

What good friends Ryan and I have... that are our close neighbors too! We all went camping this last weekend.. and froze. Definitely the last camping trip for me and the girls. I'll just have to start planning for next year. This trip we went up American Fork canyon again and stayed in a spot called Salamander Flats off the Alpine Loop. All the kids had a great time...
and of course the adults too!

Here is a great picture of our friend Jason. a little excited about the whole camping experience. He knocked on our door wearing this... asking if were ready to go. ha ha

Thanks for the fun times!!! Let's do it again..

Labor Day Weekend

Cascade Idaho

This past Labor Day weekend we met up with our good friend Chad, Wendy & Ethan to go camping at a beautiful lake in Cascade Idaho. We thought that we had the perfect camping spot until the wind and rain came and about blew us away. We were camping right along the sandy beach of the lake where there was nothing to shelter our tents. Although it was crazy weather all weekend we had such a great time. Idaho is so beautiful! The last night we stayed in a nice bed and breakfast called the Ashley Inn. There was a fun pool and canoeing and kayaking .. the kids loved it. I guess summer is really coming to an end.. the weather is already getting so cold... sadness.
Thanks Chad & Wendall!
We love hanging out with you guys! Let's get together soon!
