Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday LOve of my Life!! Your getting soo old, but you still look like your twenty. When are you going to start aging?
Ryan turned 34 yesterday. Our little family took him to lunch and had a small party last night. Here is Ryan with his cousin and good friend Matt. Matt actually married my little sister Lindsay (for all of those who didn't know). So Matt is Ryan's cousin and brother-in-law. crazy =) (we set them up)
Thanks Ryan for being such an amazing Dad and the greatest husband!!!
I love you.

Sundance

Saturday while Grandma and Grandpa where in town we rode up through American Fork Canyon and took the Alpine Loop to Sundance for lunch. The canyon was so beautiful! We had such a great time walking and seeing all the colorful wild flowers. It was sad coming down through Provo canyon and seeing the huge fire burning through Bridal Veil Falls though. I hope they can contain it soon. I hate seeing one of my favorite canyons burning.

I'm so glad Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. It was so fun having them here for Izzy birthday. She thought it was the greatest!!!

My little sunshine girl is turning 7 years old today. I can't believe it. She is seriously the sweetest thing. I said she could choose what we did today... waiting for some outlandish request... all she said was that she wanted to go to the park with Lindsay, Mari & Lucy. We had such a fun day. I'm so grateful Lindsay is in my life. I don't know if she knows how much I love & adore her.
We played in a huge fountain and ate happy meals in the shade. Now we're off to pick up Ryan's parents at the airport so we can play some more. It scares me how fast time flies by. Izzy is going to be in 2nd grade. I'm not ready for her to keep getting older. I hope you have the best day sweetie, I love YOU!

Here are some pictures of the girls having fun at the Denver Children's Museum. They had a blast painting, playing store, vet, construction worker... What a fun place. We need one of these museums in Utah! Who wants to start one with me?

This last week we spent some time in Denver. Ryan had a bunch of meetings so the family tagged along and loved every minute of it. We love Denver! This time we got to stay right down town. We lived there for a little while 2 summers ago so we pretty much revisited some of our favorite hang outs. We went to the Children's Museum, the Aquarium, Nature & Science Museum, Pirates Cove.. and a bunch a beautiful parks. One of my favorite nights we went on a walk down town to a free jazz concert. They were playing Steve Miller band songs (love it). We played in the river and danced to the fun music. I'll post more pictures later.

Scottish Festival

We couldn't miss the good ole' Payson Scottish Festival. We try and go every year to celebrate our families Scottish heritage. My Dad's Great Grandfather Robert Lindsay WALKED most of the way to settle in Payson, UT! My Dad and his brother Kim both served their missions in Scotland.

We had such a fun day together! I love listening to the bag pipes play Amazing Grace and be with my family!

my little baker!

Isabel has gone crazy over her easy bake-oven. She is constantly whipping up yummy stuff for our family to try. I don't know why but it makes me laugh when I see her getting all her stuff ready, putting on her apron checking her recipes. She has her own timer & cook book. Maybe she can teach me a thing or two! I told her she needs to be on one of those Food Networks cake Challenges that we always watch!

This is one of her specialities.. 3 layer raspberry cake with raspberry filling.- (she's not playing around) She actually took this one over to our neighbors. When do I get one?! I'll keep waiting.... I love you Izzy!

4th of July

We had such a fun time on the 4th this year! We spent the weekend at my sister Stephanis & her husband Mike's house. They have the perfect set up with tons of land, horses, a dairy and lots of fun toys. We played and played, stayed up late and played some more. It was all fun and games until I crashed hard on their segway (I'm such a nerd) Anyway.. Why can't it be summer all year long? I love the late nights and fun family BBQ's! me and my sisters! We missed you Lindsay!

We had such a amazing time. I love California, I wish we could afford to live there especially in San Diego = Paradise. I'm having major with drawls! Thanks Tim and Kathy for everything! It's always so hard for me to leave. Thank goodness we try to see each other at least 3-4 times a year. I'll start counting down the days until Thanksgiving=)
